To store a gasoline-powered earth auger, first, make sure the auger is completely cooled down before storing. Next, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to prevent any fuel from remaining in the system. Clean the auger thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Store the auger in a dry and well-ventilated area, away from any sources of heat or moisture. It is also a good idea to cover the auger with a tarp or protective cover to prevent dust and debris from accumulating on it. **
